Join us Sunday, December 5, 2022 from 11:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. for guided yoga and adornment assembly with artists Ellery Diaz and Braydee Euliss in collaboration with the Indianapolis Zen Center. This program is part of FAIR MARKET, a gathering of artists who make work about material, craft, performance, and ways we protect ourselves.

Setting is intimate and limited to 15 guests.

Ellery will lead a gentle, multi-chakra focused flow two doors down at the Indianapolis Zen Center with mats and blocks provided. We’ll reconvene at Companion for light lunch followed by a guided exploration of amulet and adornment assembly with Ellery and Braydee. Guests are encouraged to bring strand, pendant, and amulet materials of their choosing that hold sentimental, cultural, or curiosity-sparking relevance. Fees and additional purchases support program facilitator stipends and future artist programming at Companion.

CLOSING RECEPTION | Comprised of paintings, textiles, and sculptures, LIVE/WORK deconstructs what would be a single painting by Rebekah Nolan and realizes its individual objects to examine the experience of home as a creative work space. The closing reception brings Nolan’s exhibition to life with an accompanying performance led by dance-maker Lauren Curry in collaboration with Bethany Bak and André Williams. The improvised and choreographed movements are inspired by mid-twentieth century modern dance and will begin at 2:00 pm.

Join us Thursday, September 9, at 7:00 p.m. for family-style dinner with artist Rebekah Nolan and surrounded by her large, extruded sculptures and buoyant, painted figures. The exhibition, LIVE/WORK, examines “the experience of home as creative work space.”
