Rebekah Nolan is an Indianapolis-based artist and designer. She was raised in a family of artists and musicians and spent her formative years amid Tennessee’s vibrant music and craft art communities. She co-founded and served as Creative Director of Flatland Kitchen creative studio for 16 years, where she collaborated with local and national musicians, chefs, and mapmakers. Her painting, printmaking, sculpture, and installation work has been exhibited with galleries, universities, public institutions, and artist-run spaces throughout the Midwest. She uses supple, exaggerated forms and abstract depictions of care to usher audiences through the discomfort of what is unknown or unrecognizable.
